Picking Up Bottles and Cans for Live Below The Line

My family and I have started picking up bottles and cans to exchange for 10c each with Victoria's Container Deposit Scheme. This benefits both the environment by reducing the amount of waste that ends up in landfill, and the people living below the poverty line in the Asia-Pacific region.

This Year, I am Participating in Live Below The Line!

This year, my family and I, along with other members of the GWSC community will be participating in a challenge called Live Below the Line.

Live Below the Line is a challenge where participants have to survive off $2 a day for food for 5 days. I will be completing this from the 29th of April to the 3rd of May. I will be doing this to understand the struggles of living below the poverty line, and to raise funds for Oaktree, a non-profit organisation that provides support for those living in poverty in the Asia-pacific region.

Other than living off $2 a day for 5 days, I will be completing another 'line' for Live Below the Line. This 'line' is waste, where I have been collecting bottles to recycle with Victoria's CDS (container deposit scheme). Each bottle can be recycled in return for 10c, and all the funds collected from picking up bottles will also go towards Oaktree.

Please donate to my Live Below The Line campaign, to provide Oaktree with the funds to help underprivileged people in the Asia-Pacific Region!
