The Two Day Challenge

Live Below the Line is a fundraising campaign that helps Australians take action on poverty.

From 7-11 May, thousands of participants will make their meals count by feeding themselves on $2 a day for five days. That’s the Australian equivalent of the extreme poverty line. By taking the Live Below the Line challenge, we’re raising much-needed funds for work that helps end poverty.

The Two Day Challenge is a shorter version of Live Below the Line - you’ll feed yourself on $2 per day for two days. This challenge is perfect for people who have  travel, work or school commitments and can’t commit to the full five days, but don’t underestimate its difficulty or the funds you can raise!

For us, Live Below the Line is about creative cooking, rationing, and caffeine deprivation: we know it’s just a glimpse into what life is like for people in poverty, not a real experience of it. But we know what we do has a real impact.
