Day #5

Breakfast
Time: 9:00
LAST DAY OF LIVE BELOW THE LINE. Today I was really pumped to get out of bed and go to school early. Although the cereal tasted very soggy for some reason. I still was able to drink a lot of milk! I think I did some miscalculation for how much milk I was supposed to drink each day.

Lunch
Time: 12:58
Same Lunch, but somehow it tasted better than before. I think mainly because I was feeling over excited.

Dinner
Time: 6:30
LAST MEAL. I am getting really excited for this last meal. Ate A LOT of noodles. I feel like I need a feast tomorrow. This experience has probably made me a better person and taught me about the difficulties of living below the poverty line. I hope my donations will allow many families to break out of the poverty cycle.

Day #4

Breakfast
Time: 9:00
Usual Milk and cereal, AGAIN. I tried to steal a piece of candy but I got caught. I am really starting to miss sweets. I also took my weight. I lost a kilogram since the start of this week! But today is parent student teacher interviews so no school!

Lunch
Time: 12:58
Lunch, same old thing, ham and margarine sandwich. All was same except I put extra margarine and toasted it. It was probably the hottest food I had so far. Almost burned my tongue.

Dinner
Time: 6:30
I had the usual noodles accompanied with tomato and egg. I had more egg than usual because the egg was bigger. Since I had a remaining one dollar in my budget I bought some radish cake from my mum which was luckily only worth 10 cents. I am really starting to feel hungry. I have swimming later.

Day #3

Breakfast
Time: 7:55
Today I had the usual milk and cereal. Its starting to taste a little odd. I hope the milk isn't spoilt. However, I got to drink a little more milk that usual.

Snack
Time: 10:37
For snack I had cornflakes again. But this time I didn't eat them. I saved them for afterschool in case I get hungry.

Lunch
Time: 12:58
For lunch I quickly ate my sandwich. Same old ham and margarine. I am starting to get sick of this same lunch. I will probably eat noodles for lunch instead

Dinner
Time: 7:00
This was probably the best meal I had so far. I ate tomato with egg and sandwich. It tasted so good. But the noodles were so plentiful I left it for tomorrow's breakfast.

Day #2

Breakfast
Time: 7:55
Today is cross country. I had the normal milk and cornflakes but I got an addition of an egg. I hope I run well today with the extra egg. Breakfast is kind of filling. It's enough at least.

Snack
Time: 10:37
This morning I was late to the cross country meeting. But i got there in time. The bus ride was fun. For snack, I had the usual leftover cornflakes for breakfast. I am starting to get nervous for the race.

Lunch
Time: 12:58
The cross country race is approaching. I quickly ate my egg sandwich although it was cold it tasted delicious. I came 23rd out of 90 people in the division. It was very tiring. I hope my dinner is enough.

Dinner
Time: 7:00
Dinner was good. I had mashed potatoes, two piece's of ham and some cauliflower. The mashed potato tasted good but it is unusual for me to eat cauliflower without any flavouring. The ham was the most flavourful. My family ate noodles and toast with tomato with egg. It was very tempting to steal some food.

Day #1

Breakfast
Time: 8:02
For Breakfast I had milk along with cornflakes. It tasted good but it was nowhere near enough. I left the remaining cornflakes for snack in case I get hungry.

Snack
Time: 10:37
For snack I ate the leftover cornflakes from breakfast. It tasted a little dry as it didn't have milk. I haven't started to get hungry yet. Although it is very tempting when I am around others with food.

Lunch
Time: 12:58
Lunch was a little plain. I had a margarine and ham sandwich. I wish that I used the egg instead of ham in the sandwich.

Dinner
Time: 7:00
Dinner was extremely good other than the canned tomato. The noodles were plentiful the egg was easier to fry with the addition of margarine. The food is very filling. Unfortunately I forgot to take a photo of dinner. I feel like this may be easier than I thought

I am Living Below The Line!!

I am Michael and I am taking part in the living below the line challenge. I am doing the challenge because I think that it is a worthy cause to raise awareness for.

28 million children in Africa are living in malnutrition. Allowing me to reach my goal will allow families to break out of the poverty cycle. This will allow many future generations to have better lifestyles, better education and better nutrition.

Living below the line is a challenge in which we have to live on less than $2 a day for 5 days. The main reason people are living below the line is that one, we need to let others know and two, we need to support those in need. We are living below the line so that others in poverty can live above it.

I have decided to do the live below the line challenge because I want to experience how it feels to live on $2 a day. Although I know that I will be extremely hungry, I know that it is worth it. Many people living in poverty are forgotten, many people doing this will raise as much attention as fireworks in the middle of the night!

Please donate, any amount will make a big difference and SPREAD THE WORD

Thank you,

Michael
