Your one-stop shop for all your diversity needs.
Everyone is different. Diversity isn’t just a list of goals or boxes to tick, it is about an inclusive culture that values everyone who walks into our office. We value every individual’s uniqueness and have a commitment to valuing this as a strength to our organisation and our mission.
Below are some useful resources to help you understand how Oaktree is approaching diversity, how you can learn more and how you can get involved.
Make sure to also check out our page on Oaktree’s website which explains our commitment to diversity and inclusion: www.oaktree.org/diversity.
Our current approach to Diversity and Inclusion:
Check out here what we’ve got planned for diversity this year, and how we’re going to achieve it. This strategy will give you an idea of the areas we’re working towards strengthening and the different levels of the organisation involved in this process. It also includes any challenges we’ve identified to realising our goals.
Grab some popcorn for this one, it’s quite the read!
Diversity Master Spreadsheet
This spreadsheet outlines actions around diversity that are intended to reduce barriers and promote inclusion. We also refer to this spreadsheet when planning events and strategy. They are organised around six different community groups:
- Culturally and linguistically diverse
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander
- Low socio-economic status
- People with a disability
- Women’s leadership
The key on the first tab provides you with the information to understand the spreadsheet.
Did you know Oaktree has its very own Diversity Council? Our Council is a group of incredible people who have experience in the diversity areas Oaktree wants to grow. Check out this explainer to learn more about our Council and its members.
How you can get involved:
Want to have a direct input into diversity at Oaktree? Join a working group! Those in our working groups bring their lived experience to the table, and give feedback and ideas to the Diversity team. Find more information here on what working groups there are and how they operate.
Don't know where to start to learn about diversity? Here we have some great links to TED talks, articles, videos and podcasts that explore and celebrate diversity.
We also have this great document here about self awareness, and what to do if you make a mistake.
