Join Oaktree South Australia for a live streaming of the Federal Budget.
On May 3rd the Australian Government will be delivering the 2016-17 Federal Budget. Australian aid is one way that Australia contributes to ending poverty and creating a more just world. In the last few years we've walked away from our responsibility as a global citizen by reducing the Australian aid budget. When the next Federal Budget lands, Australia is set to become the least generous we've ever been.
From 6pm the Oaktree SA community will be meeting for a live streaming of the Federal Budget. On the night we'll be watching the budget announcement and reacting by taking action on social media and writing letters to our local MPs.
For participants undertaking the Live Below the Line challenge, please bring along your $2 meal as we'll be sharing experiences and swapping stories from the first two days of the campaign (microwave facilities and water provided).
This invite is open to Oaktree SA volunteers, alumni and supporters. Feel free to bring along a friend to help take action to end extreme poverty!
PS. The Oaktree SA office is on Level 1 of the Malcolm Reid Building. If you get lost please contact Lauren Varo, SA State Director at firstname.lastname@example.org or 0415 072 918
